Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Droplet Idle ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, and shares information.
Data we collect
A) In-app purchases (Remove Ads)
If you purchase Remove Ads, the purchase is processed by Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). We do not receive your payment card details.
To validate and restore your purchase, the app and/or the store may process:
- Transaction identifiers / purchase tokens
- Purchase receipts (where applicable)
- Entitlement status (e.g., whether "Remove Ads" is active)
We may store locally on your device that Remove Ads is owned so the app can unlock the entitlement.
B) Ads (only when ads are enabled)
If you have not purchased Remove Ads, the app may show ads. When ads are enabled, ad providers may collect or receive information such as:
- Device information (e.g., model, OS version)
- Approximate location (coarse)
- Advertising identifiers (depending on your platform settings/consent)
- Interaction data related to ads (impressions, clicks)
Important: When Remove Ads is active, the app does not show ads and does not request ad delivery.
C) Analytics / diagnostics (crash reporting)
We may collect limited diagnostic information to improve stability and performance, such as:
- Crash reports
- Basic device and OS information
- App version
- Error logs associated with crashes
D) Account & Cloud Saves (optional)
You may optionally create an account to sync your game progress across devices. This feature is entirely optional — you can play anonymously with all data stored locally on your device.
If you choose to sign in, we collect:
- Authentication data — provided by Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password (via Firebase Authentication)
- Display name and email address — as provided by your sign-in provider
- Game progress — your upgrades, prestige level, achievements, and other game state data synced to our cloud database
Cloud data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (europe-west region). If you do not sign in, no data leaves your device.
How we use data
We use information to:
- Deliver and restore your Remove Ads entitlement
- Show ads (only when ads are enabled)
- Sync game progress across your devices (only when signed in)
- Measure app performance and fix bugs (crash/diagnostic data)
- Improve the app experience
Consent and choices (EEA/UK/CH and iOS ATT)
If ads are enabled, you may see consent prompts (for EEA/UK/CH) and/or iOS App Tracking Transparency prompts. Your choices affect ad personalization and measurement. They do not affect the ability to purchase or restore Remove Ads.
Data sharing
We may share data with:
- Apple / Google for in-app purchase processing
- Firebase Authentication / Firestore (Google Cloud) for account and cloud save functionality, when signed in
- Ad providers — Google AdMob and/or Unity LevelPlay, depending on your app version (only when ads are enabled)
- Crash/analytics providers (for diagnostics)
We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention
- Purchase entitlement data is retained as needed to support restore purchases and to comply with platform requirements.
- Crash/diagnostic logs are retained for a limited period to investigate issues.
- Cloud save data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the in-app profile screen.
Security
All data transmitted from the app is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols (TLS/HTTPS). We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
Children
Droplet Idle is not intended for children under the age where parental consent is required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us.
